A cruise on the Gulf of Gdańsk lets you see the Tricity from a completely different perspective – from the sea. Sopot is the perfect starting point: there is a marina by the pier, and you can walk there from your room at Bayjonn Hotel. We explain how to plan a private cruise and what to see along the way.

A private boat cruise from Sopot
We work with Navi7, a company that organises private motorboat cruises on the Gulf of Gdańsk. The key information:
- Departure point: Sopot Marina by the pier.
- Number of passengers: up to 6 people – it is a cruise just for you and your loved ones, with no random fellow passengers.
- Duration: from a short, one-hour cruise to a full-day trip around the bay.
- Price: depends on the number of people and the length of the cruise – the larger the group, the lower the cost per person. You will find the current price list on our additional services page, and the details can be arranged individually.
You can book the cruise at the hotel reception – we will help you choose the date and route.
Route ideas
A short cruise along the Sopot coast
An hour on the water is enough to see the pier and the Sopot coastline from the bay. It is a good option for a first time or for families with children.
Gdynia and Orłowo from the sea
Sailing north, you will see Orłowo Cliff and the waterfronts of Gdynia. This route is for those who want to feel the scale of the port city and then return to Sopot for dinner.
A trip to Hel
The most spectacular option is a full-day trip to the Hel Peninsula. Once there, it is worth visiting the seal sanctuary and the lighthouse, and taking a walk on the beach on the open-sea side. The crossing time depends on the weather and sea conditions – the captain will tell you before departure.
A cruise at dusk
An evening cruise, when the lights come on on the pier and in the town, is a wonderful idea for an anniversary or a marriage proposal.
When to go?
The best conditions for cruises are usually from late spring to early autumn. Whether a cruise goes ahead always depends on the weather – in strong winds or high waves, the captain may suggest another date. That is why, when planning your trip, it is wise to leave one spare day. Outside the season, ask reception about availability.
How to prepare?
- Bring a warm layer and a windproof jacket – it is cooler on the water than on the beach, even in summer.
- Wear comfortable, flat shoes with non-slip soles.
- Remember sunscreen and sunglasses.
- If you are prone to seasickness, prepare in advance and choose a shorter cruise.
- Keep your phone and documents in a closable bag.
A cruise as part of your stay in Sopot
A cruise combines well with the resort’s other attractions. Set out on the bay in the morning, head to Monciak (Monte Cassino Street) in the afternoon, and have dinner at the Thai Thai restaurant in the evening. After a day in the wind, you can warm up in the hotel sauna, which guests use free of charge.
A private boat also works well as an activity for a small team – you will find more ideas in our article Team Building in Sopot.
