A company Christmas party in Sopot is a way to end the year that your team will remember for longer than yet another dinner at the office. A review of the year and plans for the next one in the morning, a festive dinner in the evening, and a walk by the winter sea the following day. We explain how to organise such a get-together step by step.
Why Sopot for a company Christmas event?
- A festive atmosphere – in December, the centre of the resort is decorated with illuminations, and until 23 December 2026 the Christmas Market is on in nearby Gdańsk.
- Good transport links – you can reach Sopot by long-distance train, and from Gdańsk airport by taxi or public transport.
- Everything in one place – the meeting room, accommodation, breakfasts and a relaxation area with no transfers between venues.
- The sea off season – a quiet beach and pier make for a natural, relaxed team-building programme.
How to plan a company Christmas party step by step
1. Set the date well in advance
Fridays and Saturdays in December are the most popular. If you want a choice, book the room and accommodation as early as October or November. A midweek get-together often gives you more flexibility.
2. The business part in the conference room
The conference room at Bayjonn Hotel measures 40 m² and seats up to 32 people in a theatre layout. Conference equipment is available on site, including a projector and a flipchart – enough to review the year, present the results and reward the best performers. You will find details on our Conferences and Events page.
3. The festive dinner
For dinner, you can choose the Thai Thai restaurant in the hotel – a good choice for teams that want to move away from the traditional menu. If you prefer European cuisine, see the group menu of the L’Entre Villes restaurant. It is best to agree on the festive menu and the number of seats with reception when booking.
4. An overnight stay and a morning by the sea
Staying overnight on site means nobody has to worry about getting home after dinner. In the morning, a buffet breakfast awaits the team, followed by a walk together on the beach and the pier. Hotel guests also have free use of the sauna and small fitness room.
5. Additional programme
The festive get-together can be extended with an evening trip by SKM train to the Christmas market in Gdańsk or a stroll along the illuminated Monciak (Monte Cassino Street). You will find more ideas for spending time together in our article Team Building in Sopot.
Sample programme
- 13:00–15:00 – arrival, check-in from 15:00, welcome coffee.
- 15:30–17:30 – year-end review in the conference room.
- 18:00–19:00 – free time, the sauna or a walk by the sea.
- 19:30 – festive dinner.
- Day 2 – breakfast (7:00–10:30), a walk on the beach, check-out by 11:00.
Gifts for the team
Instead of more gadgets, you can give your employees or business partners a stay by the sea in the form of an e-voucher. We describe how it works in our article A Hotel Stay Voucher in Sopot.
The organiser’s checklist
- number of participants and room allocation,
- date and times for using the meeting room,
- dinner menu, including vegetarian and gluten-free options,
- spaces in the paid garage for those arriving by car,
- additional programme and any transport to the Christmas market.
Frequently asked questions

What is the latest I should book a date in December?
Ideally by the end of October. By November, there are few free dates left on Fridays and Saturdays.
